Finn Dragonfly - Treasure Box Workshop
Are you ready to experiment and try something truly unexpected? In this class, we'll transform a simple wooden box into a dramatic, two-toned treasure - combining the colours of your choice inspired by one of Finnabair Decoupage Fiber Papers. You can try a classic top to bottom gradient or go bold and wrap colours side to side around the box for an eye-catching, artistic twist.
You'll learn how to build rich textures with Art Extravagance Paper Paste and my favourite stencils and how to use waxes over clear gesso as your main colouring medium - almost no acrylic paints this time! On the lid, the Decoupage Fiber Paper becomes a perfect stage for a composition of leaves, grungy frames and mechanical dragon flies, while the metallic waxes bring everything together with luminous highlights.
This class is a great opportunity to explore texture, contrast and alternative colouring techniques, while having fun and learning how to blend metallic finishes for a professional, polished look.
Venue: Geelong Medical Centre 27 Ormond Road, East Geelong (2 doors up from Create On Ormond, doors will open at 8.45am the shop will be open from 8.30am)
Class Duration: 3.5 hours to 4 hours.
